J.W.Hill's Sports Bar & Grille was founded in 2005.   We are located in the historic Pembroke Building, just 2 blocks north of the Verizon Wireless Arena.

Who was J.W. Hill?  For almost a century, the James W. Hill Company was a fixture in downtown Manchester, the majority of the time in the same space as the restaurant.  It seems only fitting that in the midst of Manchester's revitalization J.W. Hill's will once again be a cornerstone.  We are proud to share this historic location with our namesake and feature memorabilia and photos of this landmark throughout the restaurant and bar.

The dry goods store, "Hill's" as it became known had the reputation of being upscale, a cut above the rest.  Customers of Hill's came to expect a higher level of quality and service.  We take that legacy very seriously and are committed to living up to these high standards.
